Reviews
So this is the type of food I usually love and they do it very well. The savoury tarte and soup were great. The dessert (almond) cake was fantastic; it’s not over sweet and I can taste the almond with more leisure. The tea and tea sets are high quality. It’s a very cozy vibe, the kind of place local friends would (and did) go and hang out.
I also have to thank them especially for their hospitality. I just arrived at Bordeaux in the afternoon, tired and hungry, unable to find a place I’d like to eat in that’s open. I walked by this place, was attracted by the menu, and went in. The hostess suffered through my broken French, explained things to me in clear and slow-spoken French, and made me feel welcome all the time, even though, in my tired state, I sat down at the first table I saw, without realizing that it was bigger than I needed.
On a visit to Bordeaux we were greeted by a sweet girl luring people to La Douce Parentheses...she sold us on the spot and we followed to a cosy corner cafe. We each had the quiche/salad/soup with a glass of white wine. Everything was delicious and the service was fabulous. Also had a coffee and chocolate cake 😋. Do yourself a favour a pop in.
I wish I lived in Bordeaux just so I could go to this place again. We had two quiche (carrot+cumin and artichoke+bacon) and two soups (lentille and carrot+coconut) and everything was just delicious. And the pastries, so good too!
Plus, the waitress speaks english and spanish, and very friendly ☺️
Really a quiet place to take a break and relax. Great music to listen to and great tea choises! ( the homemade cakes were amazing )
I miss that place. Hope to go back soon
Very tasty brunch, homemade and locally sourced. Relaxed and kind staff. Good veggie options.
It was an amazing experience, the quiches and the cakes were amazing, the tea was perfect and the service was great! One of the best meals found by chance in Bordeaux
Tasty quiches, sweet cakes and a huge variety of teas in the centre of Bordeaux. A must visit! 😍
The service is so lovely and kind. The food is fantastic, everything is homemade, fresh and made with love. Would recommend the tarterie to everyone !
